Breast milk is best for your baby

Breast milk is best for babies. The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Health Promotion Board (HPB) recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and drinks will have a negative impact on breastfeeding. At around six months of age (but not before 4 months), infants should receive nutritionally adequate and age-appropriate complementary foods while breastfeeding continues for up to two years of age or beyond. Consult your doctor before deciding to use infant formula or if you have difficulty breastfeeding.

PEDIASURE DINNER

Total Time: 18 minutes

Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • ½ bottle PediaSure Liquid (vanilla flavor)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 dried Chinese mushroom
  • 2 small prawns
  • 1 crabstick, cut into 4 shorts lengths
  • Pinch of salt and ground white pepper

Directions:

  1. Soften the Chinese mushroom by soaking it in water. Remove the stem and cut into thin slices
  2. Lightly beat the eggs, and then mix with PediaSure. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Strain mixture
  4. Pour mixture into 4 small bowls with lids.
  5. Cover the bowls and place in a steamer. Steam for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid and top custard with sliced mushrooms, prawns and crabstick.
  7. Replace lids and steam for another 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from steamer and serve warm.
